Overview
The flexible heating element consists of an etched foil resistive element laminated between two insulation layers.
Advanced Zoppas technology allows us to provide sophisticated double-sided heaters and also heating elements with a very high ohmic density. According to ESA specifications, heater resistive elements and terminal leads connections can be coated either with Polymer/FEP or Film/Acrylic Adhesive.

Given its global presence and extensive experience in numerous applications, the group has developed a portfolio of skills and technologies to support the development of smart heating solutions in a wide range of sectors from consumer to industrial high tech and owns the most important certifications in accordance with the Standards required in those markets. In the space sector the company design and manufacture flexible heaters for space satellites, spacecrafts, pressurised modules and ground-based antennas since 1992, and is qualified for space applications according to ESA specification ESCC 4009/002 and 4009/004. Flexible heaters are typically used for thermal balancing of structures subject to sub-zero temperatures, moisture removal from semiconductors and circuits in payloads, defogging of sensors and lens and snow melting for ground-based antennas.
